A study suggests that the pace of use of multimedia tools has been overwhelming.
If you like technology and have not lived in a cave in the last two years, you will already know about the rise of some image generation tools, such as DALL.E, created by OpenAI, or platforms like MidJourney. Now, we discover what is the reality of artificial intelligence and it is amazing.
The machine that surpasses the photographer
A recent study published in Everypixel Journal assures that until last month, the content which has been created from artificial intelligence tools has reached the figure of 15.47 billion imageswith the models based on Stable Diffusion as the most used by users, with a total of 12,590 million creations, as you can see in the graph that we show you below these lines.

And if you make the comparison with the classic way of obtaining images, which is through analog and digital cameras, to obtain the spectacular figure shown in the previous paragraph, it took almost 150 years of content creation. As far as we know, the first photograph permanent was the so-called View from the windowobtained in the year 1826with which until 1975 15 billion snapshots were not reached. AI has achieved it in less than 2 years.

One of the big turning points of AI image generation was the arrival of DALL.E 2moment from which the world population has created digital content at a rate of 34 million images per day. Stable Diffusion, being an open source platform, takes almost 80% of the users, while MidJourney has 15 million users at the moment.
Adobe, with its Firefly artificial intelligence platform, has managed to create 1 billion images in just three months after its launch. Still, according to the researchers, the study this limited due to the difficulty of finding accurate statistics and the changing landscape, with every day more and more image generation tools available in the hands of any user who wants to create content digitally and with the help of algorithms and artificial intelligence.
