Mac Studio’s M1 Ultra chip put to the test on Geekbench and the results are amazing.
Apple has once again surprised many with the launch of its new M1 Ultra chip. The new generation of Apple Silicon processors has arrived and one of the first tests of this component shows how powerful it is.
Among everything that was presented yesterday during the Peek Performance event, Apple has decided to announce the evolution of its processors with the launch of a new chip that combines the power of two M1 Max chips, the most powerful processor it had until then.
This new chip called ‘M1 Ultra’ has already been put to the test and has passed to the 28-core Intel Xeon W chip in Apple’s most powerful Mac, the Mac Pro.
The power of the M1 Ultra chip
On its site, Apple benchmarks the performance of its new M1 Ultra against the 16-core Intel Xeon W chip found in the Mac Pro and shows that it is much faster and more powerful.
However, a new leaked test via Twitter reveals that it’s even more powerful than the 28-core Intel Xeon W chip found on the market. a more powerful version of the Mac Pro.
This new test done with Geekbench 5 shows that the M1 Ultra gets 1793 working with a single core. The amazing thing comes when you work with multi coresas the 20-core M1 Ultra scores 24055 on the Geekbench 5 test.
The results of the test tell us that the M1 Ultra is about 20% faster than the Mac Pro CPU with 28 cores can get a score of 19951.
So, the new Mac Studio, which is the computer that has this M1 Ultra, becomes one of the most powerful high-end computers from Apple. However, this does not mean that this new Mac is better than the Mac Pro, since many of the capabilities that the Mac Pro has are still “exclusive” for this model.
Apple is expected to revamp the Mac Pro later this year, adapting one of its new Apple Silicon processors to make it the most powerful machine on the market.
