It takes daring to organize a trip in these days, but whatever: Microsoft is deploying new features dedicated to tourism on Bing. They make the search engine more efficient in planning trips.
There is something new at Bing. Microsoft’s search engine inherits a set of features for travel planning in December. In a press release shared last week, the firm gives details of this batch of new products. Among them, suggested itineraries, ideas for visits, but also 360-degree images, information on drinks and meals, as well as coupons and discount offers.
Clearly, everything you need to optimize a stay … but beware, Microsoft is only deploying these features on American soil for the time being. Logically, they should nevertheless materialize in other territories in the future.
Bing expands its tourism functions
The suggested routes appear, however, in a dedicated insert in Bing’s new Travel Guide, titled “What to see and what to do”. The latter allows you to get a first idea of the most iconic places to visit, but also allows you to organize your trip accordingly. As specified in Search Engine Roundtable, it is also possible to click on ” Book a flight “ Where ” Book a hotel “ to access a whole page dedicated to the reservation. Convenient.
Another novelty is the appearance on Bing of coupons and offers dedicated to travel. Microsoft has partnered with various sites to display competitive prices on its search engine, but also bundled offers allowing, for example, to book return flights and a hotel, all at once, all at a preferential rate. A section dedicated to coupons this time brings together in one place the special offers and discounts available. A good solution to respect your budget, explains Microsoft.
Bing finally offers two new pages allowing respectively to display 360-degree views of places to visit, and to obtain information on dishes, drinks, and other local specialties, that you can taste during your stay.
