There is a large percentage of users who would pay more for a more expensive iPhone
Apple offers different versions of iPhone with a wide variety of prices, the market even has refurbished iPhone models for a much cheaper price. However, a recent survey of 9to5mac proves that it exists a large percentage of users willing to pay more for a higher level iPhone.
Specifically, we are talking about a iPhone 17 Ultraa nomenclature that has been rumored for almost a year and that would be awarded to an iPhone model with great new features.
In the survey, More than 30% of consumers would be willing to pay $1,350 for a more premium iPhone. 19.20% would pay 1,500 euros. Something that is not so crazy considering that the new iPad Pro M4 can be worth 3,500 euros in its most advanced configuration.
Almost 50% of consumers would pay for a much more expensive iPhone
Whether it’s an iPhone 16 Pro Max or an iPhone 17 Ultra, a high percentage of users would pay more for a higher-end Apple smartphone. 49% of consumers would pay between 1,350 and 1,500 euros for a phone like that.
Besides, 37.74% of those surveyed would refuse to pay more for an iPhone Ultra model.
Currently, in Spain the base price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 1,469 euros, a price that would fluctuate around $1,600. However, in the United States they pay hundreds of dollars less for the iPhone because import tax and VAT fees are not included.

My opinion
I am one of those people who think that “what is cheap is expensive” or that “what is expensive is cheap”. A great investment, especially in the field of technology, will last you for many years. While a smaller investment is likely to give you problems and may not have as much longevity.
Therefore, I believe that paying much more for an iPhone can be beneficial for the consumer. This, of course, only if you do not plan to update your smartphone year after year. I would only pay more than 1,500 euros for an iPhone 17 Ultra if it is going to last between 3 to 5 years.
But the same would happen with an iPad Pro, a Mac or any other product. An expensive technology device means more functions, better quality of materials and many other advantages. So I consider it worth paying a little more to receive a more satisfactory product. Now, I respect any other opinion. After all, if we all thought the same, life would be very boring. How much would you be willing to pay?
