This situation has been going on for a long time, since they have been trying to wage war on their own after the separation from Huawei, but they have not been able to make themselves known in Spain. As we can see in the sales data offered by the main consultancy, data to which MovilZona has had access, the difficult situation of HONOR continues to worsen, causing the market share in Spanish territory to fall below 3%. Sales that contrast with the continued increase that Motorola has experienced since last year, when it began to take off and for now it seems that no one can stop that rise.
Vivo and Motorola step on the gas
Although we have commented on Motorola’s growth because it is the most notable in the graph that we show you, it is not the only company that is Taking advantage of the poor state of HONOR and other manufacturers. Vivo has been in Spain since 2020 and although it landed in a difficult time economically, it has known how to find its market and gradually rise to become recognizable and slowly but surely gain a certain popularity. It is one of the main technology companies in China, which is why the rest of the firms must be very aware of each and every one of its movements.
Another company that continues to gain ground and is making more and more noise is OPPO, which has set out to compete head to head with the biggest companies in Spain. The Spanish market is one of the most complicatedbut at the same time one of the most interesting for smartphone companies, since here, although Apple has a good market share, it is not nearly as prominent as it can be in the United States, allowing the Android landscape to have a larger percentage of the prize to share.
If HONOR wants to stay on the trail of Motorola or Vivo, it will have to move quickly, because when a user loses confidence in a brand, it is very difficult for it to get back on its feet.
The big players: Xiaomi, Samsung and Apple remain leaders
As usual, at the top of the ranking table we find the three brands that have managed to establish themselves as market share leaders in Spain for several years and it does not seem that they will be able to move them. The Chinese company Xiaomi is the leader also in the month of July, closely followed by Samsung and in third place we find the firm Apple, which is losing followers for another month.
The data speak for themselves about what users in Spain want. A good product is not enough. Customer service, guarantees, security and many other aspects play a fundamental role in the end-user buying one smartphone or another.
