Many peripheral brands always try to offer the best specifications for each of their products, but there are times when they only manage to achieve certain technical aspects that are not the highest. But in this case, AOC has managed to reach a point where, its new monitors, Not only are they able to offer the highest technical specifications that only certain companies have achieved, but they also do it for much less money.
One of the key aspects of monitors is the refresh rate they offer, and in many cases it is more than necessary to have the highest number of hertz, mainly because they allow us to greatly improve our reaction time, as long as we have a PC that runs games at quite high FPS. Now, AOC, a brand known for offering high-quality and high-performance products at fairly low prices, comes up with great news with two monitors created to compete.
AOC’s top of the range comes with specifications that are hard to beat
Although at first it may seem like a brand that focuses a lot on mid-range monitors, as they offer a series of items that do not cost too much, but that have a series of features that could make them pass for high-end. This time, the company has wanted to go further, and now they have presented one of the highest ranges of monitors that we can find from this brand, and that is that they have manufactured a model of 540 Hz and another of 390 Hzwhich have really attractive prices and are quite competitive compared to the models offered by other companies.
A 540 Hz model, but with a price of €699
The first model that we have been taught is the AGON PRO AG246FKa monitor that stands out for offering one of the highest refresh rates on the market that only certain companies such as BenQ or ASUS have reached, the 540 Hzone of the most difficult barriers to overcome today. This new version incorporates an extremely fast TN panel with a Full HD resolution in just 24.1 inches, meeting all the standards that we can find in the peripherals used by the gaming elite, professional eSports players.
Because it features 540Hz, you might think it has a higher response time, but that’s not the case, as it offers a response time of 1.82ms between frames, while having pixel transition times of up to 0.5ms GtG. It also has a really wide color gamut, covering 99.6% of sRGB, while covering 94.7% of DCI-P3 and also has DisplayHDR 400 certification.
Other similar models on the market can easily exceed €1000, but as we have mentioned before, AOC seeks to offer the best value for money, which is why this model costs €699.
Cheaper but with a lower refresh rate, 390 Hz for €449
For those people who may find having 540 Hz excessive (and paying €700), they have also launched a model that reaches almost 400 Hz, with a price €250 cheaper, and that is that the AGON PRO AG256FS arrives with 390 Hz and €450, making it more accessible to the average user. This monitor features a Full HD (1920×1090) Fast IPS panel with a size of 24.5 inches, offering a 1ms GtG response time, while also boasting 99.1% coverage of the sRGB gamut and a DisplayHDR 400 certification.
It is also worth noting that both models incorporate a mode that allows the use of a technology to achieve a 0.3 ms MPRT, the MBR mode, which allows for exceptional motion sharpness along with a reduction in blur, making them perfect for competitive titles that require greater visual acuity. They also have Adaptive-Sync for variable refresh rates, along with a low input lag that offers a practically immediate response to the player’s actions, also including three color modes for FPS games calibrated especially for eSports.
These products will go on sale in mid-August at the prices we have mentioned and with a full 3-year warranty.
