This is the case of the new projectors that Optoma has announced under the name of CinemaX D2 Seriesrange made up of two identical devices, except that one of them, the one that comes with surname “Smart”will have an integrated Android TV platform through a dongle.

With the classic rectangular format of this type of ultra short throw projectorsthe new Optoma equipment is committed to DLP technology to generate images with 4K resolution from its laser light source with a lifetime of 30,000 hours.
They are capable of generating 100 inch image just over 30 cm from the wall, offering a contrast of 1,800,000:1 and a glow of 3,000 lumens which will allow us to use them in rooms with some ambient light.
They are also compatible with HDR10 and HLG and they have a special mode for games that deactivates part of the internal processing to focus on offering the maximum speed of representation in the images. This achieves a response time of only 16ms in 4K at 60Hz and some spectacular 4ms at 240Hz with 1080p resolutions.
Connectivity is served with three HDMI 2.0 ports that are compatible with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) and digital optical output to send the sound to an external device, although if we wish we can use both 10 watt stereo speakers integrated under the shell and covered by acoustically transparent fabric.
In addition we find a USB port to power the dongle with Android TV OS in the case of the CinemaX D2 Smart model, being able in that case to directly reproduce the contents of the different streaming platforms from the projector.
