Repeating your home WiFi password to your friends or family millions of times is one of those situations that everyone has gone through at some point, but this is over. You’ll never have to spell it out loud again. while everyone writes it at the same time, since you only need to create a QR code and leave it on the router for the guests to scan.

Although Android phones can generate a QR from the settings so that the other person can analyze it with the camera and access the WiFi without entering a password, these are not exported to be converted into an image. The method that we are going to tell you involves certain steps, although it is the most comfortable of allso it will be worth it.

Create a QR code for your home WiFi

Saying the password while everyone is typing is a disaster. More than one will make a mistake and force you to repeat it again, so you have to look for ways to avoid this cumbersome process. The most effective is to create a QR from your mobile phone to connect to your home network by simply scanning it with the camera app on your phone or Google Lens. However, the first thing to do is generate the code from the QiFi website, which is intended to pass the WiFi password to your friends or family members doing almost nothing.

The best thing about all this is that it is extremely simple. create a QR for WiFisince you only have to access QiFi and complete the indicated parameters as we tell you below: Where it says SSID You have to write the name of your network or router, something you can easily check from your mobile settings; do not touch anything in the ‘Encryption’ section and finish entering the WiFi password. Finally, select ‘Generate!’ to have your own QR code for your home Internet. Before continuing, remember to tap on ‘Export!’ to download the QR in PNG format, as an image.

Now all you have to do is print the QR in any stationery store you have near your home or in your own home if you have a printer. You can choose to make just one copy and paste it on the router or get several of them to avoid causing ‘overbooking’ in front of the device. Once you have it at home, comes the easiest step of all.

Scan the QR with your mobile camera

There is only one thing left for your guests to connect to your home WiFi without disturbing you: scan the QR. This is as simple as open Google Lens or your mobile’s own camera in the case of having an iPhone. Simply focus on the QR code and the user in question will automatically be redirected to the WiFi settings, with the password already written and everything, so you only have to click on ‘Accept’ to connect to the Internet.

scan qr code instructions

That’s it, as you can see it doesn’t hide much complication and this way you will avoid having to recite the WiFi password at the top of your lungs. It won’t take you long to generate the QR code, since you only need the name and password, so there is no excuse to start using this trick to pass the WiFi to your friends.
