Now Google Chrome will tell you the memory used by each of the browser tabs

For quite a few years, Google Chrome It has been synonymous with a browser that literally ate up all the RAM memory of our computer, but thanks to the latest updates, those from Mountain View have improved things a lot.

In fact, a few weeks ago, Google Chrome released different memory options, which are activated by default, and which, among other things, suspended some of the tabs that we had not opened in the browser for a long time. browser to liberate memory.

The problem is that sometimes we enter a web page, a social network, a service or any information medium, and we do not know exactly the memory that may be monopolizing our memory. computeruntil now.

Now the latest preview version of Google Chrome offers a new feature related to saving memory in the browser, and it will make much clearer the amount of memory that each tab takes up.

You just have to do this…

The only thing we have to do, once this feature is installed, is to pass the computer’s cursor over the corresponding tab, and the browser will tell us the memory it uses.

This is very interesting, because we could instantly hunt down the tab responsible for consuming so much memory on our computer, in case we want to avoid it in the future.

Although we will always have the traditional methods of Chrome’s integrated task manager, which you can access from the three-dot menu, then “more tools” and finally “task manager”, it is clear that hovering over a tab is much more comfortable.

In any case, it seems that the functionality is still a bit green, so it does not seem that it will be available in the next version of Google Chrome, so we will have to wait a little longer to hunt down those guilty tabs.
