Tech News Desk – A while ago Meta announced that it would be introducing PAID verification for its social media accounts. Now the company has launched it in the US. Let us tell you that Meta Platforms on Friday launched its subscription service in the US, which will allow Facebook and Instagram users to pay for verification.
The Meta Verification service will give users a blue badge once they verify their account using a government ID. For which you have to pay the price. Let us tell you that users using it every month on the web will have to pay $ 11.99 i.e. around Rs 990. At the same time, Apple’s iOS system and Google will have to spend $ 14.99 i.e. around Rs 1,240 per month.
Let us tell you that Meta had already informed that it is testing this service in February itself. First of all, the tradition of pad verification started in Twitter. Last year, Twitter started its blue subscription service after Musk’s $ 44 billion i.e. about Rs 3,63,300 crore purchase. This allows people to pay for the Blue Check Mark, which was previously only available to accounts of politicians, journalists and other public figures.
Meta Verification was initially launched in Australia and New Zealand before rolling out to markets in the United States and other countries. According to the company, subscribers will get a badge indicating that their account has been verified with a government ID. This will avoid the problem of fake verified accounts and maintain security. The social media giant said that the service will be mainly for content creators who want to expand their presence on the platform and see an adjustment after a testing phase.
