Tech News Desk – Almost everyone has traveled by train at least once in their life. Many facilities have changed in the railway since before. Continuing this trend, IRCTC is going to bring a new feature soon. With the help of this feature, you will be able to book tickets only with the help of voice. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the tourism and ticketing arm of Indian Railways, is soon coming up with a new feature to make reserved ticket booking easier and faster. It is a voice-based e-ticketing facility.

Ask Disha – Voice based e-ticketing facility
It is learned that IRCTC is currently undergoing the testing phase of its AI (Artificial Intelligence) platform named ‘ASK DISHA’ (Digital Interaction to Seek Help Anytime). Ask Disha will allow customers to give voice commands and follow the entire ticketing process.

there will be many changes soon
It is being told that the first phase of the trial was successful and some more steps will be taken as soon as possible. IRCTC may launch AI-powered Ask Disha in the next three months. With AI-powered e-ticketing facility, IRCTC can scale up backend infrastructure to boost online ticketing capacity per day.

who developed
Ask Disha was introduced in October 2018 by IRCTC in collaboration with Bengaluru-based startup Korovar Pvt Ltd. Currently Ask Disha allows customers to book tickets and customers can get support for other services with OTP verification login. For this, users do not need to log in using IRCTC user ID and password.

What is special about Ask Disha 2.0?
Passengers can book tickets with the help of IRCTC’s chatbot Ask Disha 2.0. For this, customers can use text or voice commands. The customer can also cancel his/her ticket on Ask Disha 2.0 and check the refund status of the canceled ticket. Along with this, you can also check your PNR status. You can also change the boarding and destination station for your train journey. Also you can preview, print and share train ticket for your journey.

Can ask questions in Hindi and English
You can also ask your questions on IRCTC’s chatbot Ask Disha 2.0 in two languages - English and Hindi. ‘Ask Disha’, a special program designed by IRCTC to answer your queries, is available on the official website of IRCTC – irctc.co.in.
