But Air Asia India has launched ‘Airflix’ in-flight feature in association with Sugar Box. It will be one of a kind in-flight Wi-Fi facility, which will be completely free of cost. You will not have to pay any charge for this. With the help of this feature, internet connectivity will be offered at an altitude of 36,000 feet. Please tell that till now such facility was available in some selected flights. But now internet connectivity is also being offered in Air Asia flights. Air Asia India has announced the launch of ‘AirFlix’, a first-of-its-kind in-flight Wi-Fi facility in collaboration with hyperlocal cloud platform Sugarbox.
‘Airflix’ will showcase over 6,000 hours of high-resolution movies and shows. In this, passengers can stream buffer-free over 1,000 international and domestic movies, short web series and over 1,500 web series episodes from OTT apps. Also, you will be able to do most of the internet related work including online shopping. What will be the benefits In Air Asia’s Wi-Fi service, users get 8TB storage capacity at a high speed of 1Gbps. Meaning movies and web series of 8 GB storage can be downloaded. Airflix will have games, ed-tech content, news articles, music, e-commerce features. Users can connect to ‘Airflix’ by visiting www.airflix.airasia.co.in from their smartphone, tablet PC or laptop.
