Although it is a function that not many use, WhatsApp has just improved it and now they will last twice as long
WhatsApp has just updated a feature that is not one of the most used, although many users are likely to be delighted with it, especially those who really like to talk and share. The WhatsApp’s latest update for iPhone and Android smartphones is already starting to enable this feature for some users.
Nobody can deny that WhatsApp voice notes are something that is used very often, sometimes too much, and the app is working on implementing new features that include them. We already know that it is working on an automatic text transcription of voice messages and now WhatsApp has begun to implement another improvement related to voice.
WhatsApp is now apparently allowing some users share longer voice notes via status updates. Now these voice recordings can be up to a minute long, instead of the previous 30 seconds. WhatsApp voice note statuses were launched in early 2023 and are now double in length.
The WhatsApp statuses allow you to share a photo, a video, a text and also a voice note. So we can tell something to our contacts in the form of an Instagram “story” with an audio note up to a minute long.
In this way, users They will not have to chain several audio notes in a row in their WhatsApp States, now we have up to a minute to talk and share what we want, double what we had before. This is what you need to do to share a one-minute audio note in WhatsApp Statuses:
- Update your WhatsApp app to the latest version.
- Enter WhatsApp and tap on the News tab.
- Tap on your image in the States.
- Select Text, then tap and hold the microphone.
- Now you have one minute to record your voice memo for your Status, you can customize the background color on the top right.
WhatsApp is also planning to offer users the option to share videos up to 1 minute long in status updates, but he has done it before in voice notes. WhatsApp Statuses are not one of the most used functions of the app, despite the fact that the company does not stop making efforts to improve them.
A few days ago WhatsApp began allowing the use of personalized avatars in the States, some States that have also recently won the reactions with emojis to make them more interactive. Little by little, WhatsApp is introducing important improvements in this function that many have forgotten about WhatsApp. It’s something that I personally don’t use too much, although I do have contacts who are quite regular at them, duplicating the content they publish on Instagram.
