At the time of watch content in 4K, the first thing that usually comes to mind is streaming content platforms. There are Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max… and the rest of the television offering. A range that some telephone operators also add to with their channels.
This is the example of Movistar Plus+, which returns to the network and repeats last year's move by once again enabling a temporary channel (the same as the one intended for the Goya Awards) on the Clic Channels, this time to enjoy content in 4K resolution. A channel dedicated to the Australian Open 2024 It's about to start and we're going to see how you can tune in.
The racket in Movistar
The new channel is a classic for the operator, since it is a space that has already been reserved for broadcasting special events. It already did it at the time with the 2022 Qatar World Cup and now it takes advantage of it to broadcast Eurosport 4K.
The new 4K channel on Movistar Plus+ is dedicated to the first tennis Grand Slam of the season and can be tuned on dial 444 of Movistar Plus+. It is therefore a temporary channel, which is part of the operator's Click Channels, temporary channels that appear and disappear depending on the content and the time of year.
The new channel can now be tuned, although for now it is only broadcasting in tests and has no content. Furthermore, although the content is offered at the highest possible image quality, it will not come with improvements such as HDR and everything it broadcasts will do so in SDR.
In order to watch Eurosport 4K it is necessary to meet some requirements and thus it can only be seen using a Movistar Plus+ UHD decoder, not serving mobile applications, Smart TV or playback through browsers. Of course, regardless of the operator you have contracted, you will be able to watch the Australian Open if you subscribe to Movistar Plus+ for 14 euros per month.
