Yesterday, the launch of the RTX 4060 Ti was done discreetly. So much so that a photo is currently circulating a lot on the Japanese part of Twitter. We see a man, obviously the only one to have gone to the store to buy the graphics card. This does not bode well for its sales.
The least we can say is that the RTX 4060 Ti is not much talked about. However, the latest graphics card from Nvidia arrived on the shelves yesterday. In France, it costs the modest sum of 439 €a much more affordable price than its big sister the RTX 4070, which is sold at 659 €. So one could expect great popularity among users. However, it would seem that this is far from the case.
And nothing illustrates this disinterest better than a photo currently circulating on Japanese Twitter. Above, we see a man, alone in a store buying an RTX 4060 Ti. However, the photo was taken at the very moment of the launch of the marketing, an event which generally attracts many customers. However, here, the crowd obviously did not move.

The RTX 4060 Ti doesn’t seem to appeal to gamers
It should be noted that in Japan, the launch of the RTX 4060 Ti took place at 10 p.m., which may explain the absence of customers in this store. Despite everything, the latter have a habit of opening so late for the big launches, precisely because the buyers generally respond present. We must therefore look elsewhere for the reason for disinterest.
The price, of course, has a lot to do with it. If it is certainly more attractive than the other GPUs in the range, it remains very high compared to the performance offered. As a reminder, the RTX 4060 Ti is substantially similar to the RTX 3070, for a price that is not competitive enough. With the RTX 3000s having now found their way to gamers, Nvidia’s latest addition doesn’t have enough arguments to convince an upgrade, unlike the RTX 4000s. The future will tell if the initial flop will be confirmed. .
