Today, finally we have met the new generation of various OPPO devices. We had been waiting for months to have the official information on their new high-end, some OPPO X6 that they have already presented and that come promising a lot in photography.
However, it is not the only thing we have seen in the presentation of the Chinese company. They have also shown the rumored OPPO Pad 2 and its new headphones, about OPPO Enco Free 3 of which we tell you all its characteristics. The most striking? Apart from noise cancellation, its diaphragms made of bamboo fiber.

Bamboo fiber diaphragm and powerful active cancellation
It seems that OPPO has followed that philosophy of “if something works, don’t touch it” and, at least in design, the Enco Free 3 is very similar to what we saw in the previous generation.
We have an oval box in which indicator LED stays on on the front, but where before we had a pristine front, we now see the company name screen printed. When we open the lid we see the headphones and, although light, they also present some changes.
The most obvious is that We have the indicator of “L” and “R” very large so that we know at a glance which ear each earphone corresponds to. This is an accessibility measure for some users and, in addition, we have a stick that integrates a little better into the body of the headphones. In the previous generation they looked like two separate elements and an interesting detail is that they have IP55 certification compared to the IP54 of the Free 2.
But hey, let’s get to what really matters. They are in-ear headphones, so they have the pads to help achieve better active noise cancellation. In the previous generation a reduction of 42 dB was achieved, but now OPPO promises 49 dB with various active cancellation modes. The same as with the certification, and as you can see, there are small improvements in practically all the sections.
And, from a 10-millimeter diaphragm of the previous generation, we went to one of 12.4 millimeters which, in addition, are made of an unconventional material. And it is that, It has bamboo fiber which, according to OPPO, is a material that is 56% more resistant so as not to distort, 63% harder to absorb vibrations and has greater precision when reproducing high frequencies, which improves sharpness in the treble.
The battery in the box is 440 mAh and each earphone has 43 mAh. OPPO promises up to seven hours of battery life per headset and a total of 30 hours with box charges, but this depends on many factors such as whether or not we have active noise cancellation.
According to the manufacturer, those 30 hours are without active cancellation, but if we activate the deep cancellation mode we will have five and a half hours per headset with a total of 22 hours of autonomy. The full charge takes about two hours and with ten minutes we have two hours of playback.
Versions, price and launch of the OPPO Enco Free 3
Given the characteristics of the OPPO Enco Free 3, it is time to know both the price and the versions. They will arrive in two colors: the classic white and a ‘bamboo’ green that does not need much explanation.
The price in China will be 499 yuan, about 67 euros to change, with a launch promotion by reservation of 449 yuan, about 60 euros to change. We will see what happens when they land in Spain, but for technical characteristics with headphones that will have to be attentive.
To give you an idea, when the Enco Free 2 arrived, they did so at a price of 99 euros.
