Oppo today held a conference in China to present its new products. Alongside the Oppo Find X6 and Find X6 Pro, the brand has announced its second touchscreen tablet, the Oppo Pad 2, which looks like OnePlus Tab.
The Oppo brand has unveiled the Oppo Find X6 and Find X6 Pro in China: its new flagships. After a very successful Find X5 Pro, these high-end smartphones should not be released in France. The manufacturer is also returning to the touch pad market, after its Oppo Pad, released here under the name Oppo Pad Air. He lifted the veil on the Oppo Pad 2, which is actually the OnePlus Tab that we were able to take in hand at MWC 2023, but with a modified logo.
A 144 Hz screen, but still LCD
This touchscreen tablet has an 11.61-inch IPS LCD screen, with a 7:5 ratio. Where the Oppo Pad Air had a ratio of 16:10, the Pad 2 has a higher format, which should be more comfortable for office work, especially in multitasking mode.

It offers a maximum brightness of 500 cd / m², a definition of 2800 by 2000 pixels, but also and above all a refresh rate of 144 Hz. For video games, this looks perfect, as long as the performance is there. -YOU.
Accurate Oppo via Weibo that its product is compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which we are entitled to expect given its positioning. The brand also prides itself on having a Delta E of less than 2 on its site.

On the camera side, there is a 13 Mpx rear photo sensor that can record videos up to 4K at 30 frames per second. It is complemented by an 8MP selfie sensor that delivers 1080p video at 30 frames per second.
The Oppo Pad 2: ColorOS 13, fast charging and lots of RAM
On the hardware side, the Oppo Pad 2 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC engraved in 4 nm and clocked at 3.05 GHz. It is accompanied by a maximum of 12 GB of RAM in LPDDR5 and with up to 512 GB of storage in UFS 3.1.

Everything will work with ColorOS 13, the brand’s interface based on Android 13. This touchpad has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and GPS: no SIM port, however.

As for the battery, it has a capacity of 9510 mAh. According to the brand, this should make it possible to reach 16 hours of video playback. A battery that fits in a fairly thin body: 6.54 mm thick, all for a weight of around 552 g. Where Oppo can hit hard is that its product is entitled to SuperVOOC charging (proprietary standard) in USB-C which offers a power of 67 W. Oppo indicates on its site that 10 minutes of charging can recover up to three hours of battery life.
Oppo Pad 2 price and availability
The Oppo Pad 2 is planned for the Chinese market only for the moment, it is not known if it will be released elsewhere. Anyway, it will be sold in three different configurations:
- A version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage at 2999 yuan, or around 406 euros;
- A version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage at 3399 yuan, or around 460 euros;
- A version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage at 3999 yuan, or around 542 euros.
Two colors will be offered: gray and gold. A stylus and keyboard will be sold separately. With this second tablet, the manufacturer goes upmarket compared to the Oppo Pad Air. Looking at the technical data sheet, this model looks quite promising. It remains to be seen its price if it ever comes out in France. In addition, the OnePlus Tab, which is the exact same model, still has no price for Europe, a few weeks before its release.
