Same essence as its predecessor, but with a renewed processor

Only seeing it in photos can we see that the aesthetics of the new OPPO Reno8 Z 5G does not change too much with respect to the aforementioned Reno7 Z. Yes, there are changes when introducing a new golden color that accompanies the black, which the brand has named “Dawnlight Gold”. The black has been called “Starlight Black”.
On the front we find a 6.43-inch 60Hz AMOLED panel, the technology of the screen being positive, but with a refresh rate that seems insufficient in these times. No matter how mid-range it is. On the back we see the three lenses and the flash integrated into the body at the color level, although with a slight aesthetic change by having greater brightness in the module.
The main change of this device, as we already anticipated, we find it when we talk about its processor. From the Dimensity 800U of its predecessor it passes to a Snapdragon 695 that allows it to continue counting on 5G connectivity. As to RAM and storage we find no change when we continue with 8 and 128 GB respectively.

On a photographic level, this mobile It stands out mainly for its 64 megapixel main camera. On paper, it doesn’t seem to change from the previous one, nor do the 2 megapixel monochrome and macro lens accompanying him in the rear. For selfies we found a 16 megapixel front camerawhich also do not represent a change compared to the OPPO Reno7 Z 5G.
The 4,500 mAh battery with fast charge at 33 W They do not imply any change either and aim to offer good autonomy. We also note other interesting items like the still presence of the 3.5 mm headphone jack or its fingerprint reader on the side.
What was expected and has been fulfilled is that integrates a version of ColorOS based on Android 12 (Color OS 12.1). And it is that, despite having Android 13 just around the corner, many manufacturers continue to launch their entry ranges and mid-ranges with versions based on Android 11.
OPPO Reno8 Z 5G versions and prices
Available in the aforementioned gold and black colors, this device It is sold with a single memory configuration. At least that’s how it is in Thailand, the only country where it is currently on sale. However, and despite the fact that the currency exchange takes into account other values, we can observe the price in this Asian territory to get an idea of how much it could cost if it finally reaches Spain.
