Oppo and Spotify have agreed to integrate smart features related to the Swedish platform and its content on ColorOS 13 — the interface based on Android 13. Without revolutionizing the experience of Oppo smartphone users with a Spotify subscription, this agreement should allow easy access to songs, podcasts and audio books, directly from the Chinese manufacturer’s Android overlay. Some nice functions for everyday life will thus make their appearance.
“The Spotify app has been integrated into many of the smart new features of ColorOS 13. This makes it easy and comfortable to manage music, podcasts and audiobooks through the Spotify app right on the home screen of the Oppo device“, we read in particular from the press release that the brand sent us.
Widgets, clock, smart functions… ColorOS goes with Spotify
Among the new features unveiled, the addition of Spotify to the mode Intelligent Always-On-Display of ColorOS 13. From the lock screen, it is thus possible to access Spotify content at any time, manage its playback and display the platform’s recommendations without it being needed to exit sleep mode.
A new Spotify Widget is also relevant for the main menu of smartphones under ColorOS 13, while the Oppo interface also has a new card allowing you to find, there too, Spotify recommendations and to launch a song. favorite in one click. More interesting perhaps: the addition (effective since September 15 via an OTA update) of a function allowing the alarm clock offered on the Clock application to broadcast your favorite Spotify songs to get up directly on the right foot.
“At Spotify, we’re always focused on providing our users the best possible listening experience. Through our partnership with Oppo, we intend to enrich the Spotify experience with the intelligent and human-oriented functions of the ColorOS 13 system, and offer added value to users of both brands», welcomed Ian Geller, Spotify executive.
As a reminder, the stable version of ColorOS 13 has just begun its deployment. It is therefore found for the moment on Oppo’s two flagship mobiles, the Find X5 Pro and Find X5.
