After Sandblox yesterday, here is another space game: Pinball Nation. As its name suggests, this is pinball, but with a clear orientation: the 1980s. The oldest among us will be happy to find the tables they knew in bars and cafes, life-size in the Vision Pro.
Discover Pinball Nation
Don’t have €10,000 to spend on a pinball machine and/or the space to store it at home? Then Pinball Nation is the solution to get an arcade room at a low price. Exclusive to Vision Pro, this spatial computing application recreates a 1980s pinball table to scale in your shared space under visionOS, offering a unique moment of nostalgia. And that’s not all, since Vision Pro requires, you don’t have a controller or accessory, your hands can return the ball by pinching the left or right hand as needed.
Main features:
- Spatial immersion: Seamlessly integrate a full-size pinball table into your personal space for a realistic arcade experience.
- Intuitive gesture controls: Control flippers with natural pinching motions, using either hand.
- Realistic Vintage Design: Enjoy the authentic look of a 1980s pinball machine, with detailed graphics and faithful mechanical sounds.
- Competitive Play Options: Challenge yourself for the highest score or compete with friends and family in the same room to liven up your gatherings.
- visionOS Exclusive: Optimized for Vision Pro, leveraging the unique capabilities of visionOS to deliver a smooth and immersive gaming experience.
Clearly, Pinball Nation is a very good idea. Despite everything, the gameplay does not (yet?) offer the feeling of real tables (you can’t pinch a real pinball machine) and, above all, the realization is a notch below the best of the genre like Zen Pinball Party (not compatible with visionOS).
But for two euros it’s good entertainment.
