Every year, during the first week of January, Las Vegas hosts CES, the world’s largest technology fair where all kinds of products are announced, from mobile phones to PCs, graphics cards and, in general, any type of product related to technology.
At this year’s event, as we announced from HardZone, the manufacturer Alphacool announced the return of the legendary Antec Skeleton PC cases, aesthetically very striking cases made of carbon.
However, as with most of the products announced at the event, neither the price nor the release date were revealed. We had to wait 8 months to find out the release date and the price of the two versions of this box, a price that, as we can tell you, is not affordable for everyone.
Carbon Fiber Skeleton PC Cases
The range of carbon cases from the manufacturer Alphacool consists of the Apex Pro Skeleton and Apex Skeleton models. Both models of cases offer great flexibility to users and are perfect for use water cooling systems.
Unlike other cases, which also claim to use carbon in their construction, Alphacool claims to have used carbon in combination with aluminum for the structure of the case. These new cases can be completely disassembled to suit the needs of users.
The most complete model, includes a distribution plate and a pre-assembled VPP pump with a 750 ml tank as well as chrome-colored connections and eRGB lighting. The sides of the box are made of smoked glassto give it an even more aggressive look than its design already offers.
Includes three supports to use radiators so that cooling the equipment is not a problem and a GPU support If we want to mount the graphics card vertically, support is only available in the Apex Pro case, as is the water cooling system as it lacks the distribution plate.
If you are looking to upgrade your old case and the aesthetics and functionality offered by Alphacool’s Skeleton range meets your needs, you can start saving now since, as we have mentioned above, these are not exactly cheap cases as they use carbon in their construction.
Price and availability
Alphacool announced the Skeleton series of cases earlier this year. Since then, the manufacturer has not made any further announcements regarding market availability. After many months of waiting, the two new Alphacool Skeleton cases are now available on their website, where they are already available for purchase.
The Apex Pro Skeleton case has a recommended retail price of 999.98 euroswhile the basic model reaches the 649.98 eurosThese prices are certainly beyond the budget of many users, so it seems to be reserved for PC enthusiasts or for companies where the design of their equipment is important.
