The operator did not disclose any details about the prices and conditions of commercialization of that 5G solution, but after a few days we saw how that 5G router landed on the Flexible Second Residence Internet. Now, finally, Vodafone is launching Vodafone Hogar 5G on the market with this router included, so that it can be contracted in a few days individually or associated with a mobile line.
Three contracting modalities
Vodafone assures that, with its new Vodafone Home 5G service, it intends to “extend the benefits of real 5G connectivity to homes and businesses”. Not surprisingly, the operator promises speeds up to 1 Gbps thanks to FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) 5G technology.
The pillar of this service is a self-installable 5G router that allows connect up to 35 devices to the same network and can be moved easily. In other words, 5G speed is ensured at the customer’s main residence, but the customer can take the router wherever they want and the connectivity will adapt to the network available at their destination.
Vodafone Hogar 5G will be available for contracting from November 29. It will appear as an option when choosing a connectivity solution and can be contracted only with the fixed line or can be associated with the ‘Vodafone Unlimited Basic’ and ‘Vodafone Unlimited Max’ mobile rates.
To understand it better, the three contracting options for Vodafone Hogar 5G are the following:
- Vodafone Hogar 5G (31 euros per month): includes the self-installable 5G router and Vodafone Landline with a landline with unlimited calls to national landlines and mobiles.
-
Vodafone Hogar 5G Unlimited Basic (49 euros per month): includes the self-installable 5G router, Vodafone Landline with a fixed line with unlimited calls to national landlines and mobiles, and a mobile line with unlimited calls and unlimited data at 10 Mbps speed.
-
Vodafone Hogar 5G Unlimited Max (55 euros per month): includes the self-installing 5G router, Vodafone Landline with a fixed line with unlimited calls to national landlines and mobiles, a mobile line with unlimited calls and unlimited data at maximum 5G speed, a second mobile line with 200 minutes and 15 GB, and Vodafone TV with decoder and 30 channels (or a discount of 5 euros in the Packs Seriefans, Familyfans, Serielovers or Familylovers).
It must be taken into account, however, that in all cases, the client must pay 5 euros more per month during the first 36 months in concept of financing the 5G router. After month 37, you will no longer have to pay this amount.
Initially, Vodafone Hogar 5G will be available in areas of Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Malaga, Bilbao and A Coruña and its metropolitan areas, but Vodafone has committed to further expanding the rollout progressively to another 65 cities.
