The price of PTron Bassbuds Zen earbuds has been kept at Rs 1,199, it can be purchased from Amazon India. There is also a 10mm dynamic audio driver and low-latency mode available with the PTron Bassbuds Zen. There is also an IPX4 rating for water resistance with the earbuds. We have used the PTron Bassbuds Zen earbuds for a few days. Let’s know its review.
design
Talking about the build and design of pTron Bassbuds Zen, the plastic glossy finish design is available in the buds. The build quality of the buds is great. The size of pTron Bassbuds Zen buds seems a bit big. Silver matte finish design is available with the case. The size of the case is the same as that of normal earbuds, there is no problem in carrying it. Touch control is available with buds. Touch works fine. LED notification light is available on the front of the case, which blinks in blue. There is also support for LED notification light in blue color with buds. Although this is rarely seen. The fitting and comfort of the buds is not that perfect. The charging port is available with the case at the bottom. At the same time, the branding of the company is on the front side of the case, which is very less visible. Overall the look of the buds and case feel good and premium.
Specification
A 10mm driver is provided with the earbuds. It also has a low latency mode for gaming. PTron Bassbuds Zen boasts of powerful bass and great tuning. Bluetooth 5.3 has been supported for connectivity in pTron Bassbuds Zen. Apart from laptops, earbuds can also be used with phones and TVs. We did not face any problem in terms of connectivity. Touch control is available with earbuds. The earbuds also support stereo audio, SBC and AAC audio codecs. At the same time, passive noise cancellation has been supported with earbuds. Buds have support for four mics and TruTalkTM ENC.
Display
There is 10mm driver support with PTron Bassbuds Zen earbuds but you do not get the support of heavy bass with it. The tuning of the bass and travel is fine, with it listening to music at high volume is not that much fun. We also played many high bass songs with it but it does not get that good high bass. There is support for four mics with the buds and the earbuds work really well in terms of calling. During calling from its microphone and speaker, we did not have any problem in hearing the voice. However, you may face difficulties in making calls in congested areas.
The fitting of the earbuds is fine, but they stick out a bit from the ears. Sometimes buds fall from the ear due to excessive movement. That is, you may have problems with using it during running and jogging. Talking about the connectivity of PTron Bassbuds Zen earbuds, Bluetooth 5.3 has been supported with it. The earbuds pair easily with the phone, we didn’t face any connectivity issues.
Battery
PTron’s new earbuds pack a 400mAh battery with the case, with support for a USB Type-C port for charging. The BassBuds Zen boasts of 10 hours of battery life, while the total battery life with charging is 50 hours. During the review, we took more than 1 hour to charge the earbuds, although you do not get 50 hours of battery backup. Once the earbuds are fully charged, 30 to 40 hours of battery backup is available with the case. That is, on full charge of the earbuds, you will be able to run comfortably for a week. Buds do not disappoint in terms of battery.
