Microsoft and MachineGames officially presented the new Indiana Jones game with a fantastic video in which they reviewed some aspects of the game with several developers. The video showed scenes taken at the MachinaGames offices, and as expected, a fragment of the image was enough for someone to start theorizing something new. And that something is nothing other than quake.

A project on the blackboard
The video takes us to the MachineGames offices in Uppsala, Sweden, where Jerk Gustafsson, game director, introduces the first insights into the development of Microsoft's next title. Little by little, members of the technical team appear, until Jens Andersson tells us about the mechanics, the hand-to-hand combat and the puzzles.
And it is when he talks about the puzzles, he says that “the desire for discovery is very important”, giving way to a shot in which you can see one of the white boards in the room with notes of the game. But have you noticed the notes? Obviously there have been users who have done it, and very carefully, discovering that the board could hide a peculiar Easter egg in the form of a teaser.
Is MachineGames developing Quake 6?
You just have to take a look at the left side of the board to intuit the Quake logo drawnand above him, the lyrics “AKE 6”of what could be the full word QUAKE 6. This would be news, since the incredible shooter would return after years in oblivion, and where Quake Champions was the last official installment.
And let us remember, that after Quake 4Bethesda released Quake Champions as an official game within the saga, so technically the next title, if it exists, would be Quake 6.
The information, if it can be taken as such, is limited to that few seconds. shown at minute 11:35, but they have been enough for the public to begin to theorize with hope. And as they point out in the video, “any detail can hide a secret. And the more you look, the more you discover.” It's clear that all this has been intentional, don't you think?
Release date
It's impossible to think of a release date for Quake 6. This is all just a small teaser, and chances are that if the project is underway, we'll know something about it by mid-year, but don't expect much more than confirmation development. For now the focus is on the launch of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, of which we still do not know anything exactly about the launch month, other than that it will take place in 2024. We hope it does not take too long!
