After the Halo Infinite PC accessories, Razer returns to the fundamentals… and therefore to Star Wars. This time, the equipment manufacturer is launching an Xbox Series S | X controller in the colors of Boba Fett. And the icing on the cake, it is certified by Microsoft, with a bonus!
Razer wants to please fans of sci-fi’s most famous bounty hunter. The American manufacturer is drawing at the end of the year a controller in the colors of Boba Fett, launched in limited edition for the Xbox Series S | X. Designed to get as close as possible to the design and handling of controllers emanating directly from Microsoft, it is certified. It therefore offers an experience comparable to that of official Xbox controllers.
We find the same keys, the same D-Pad, the same textured surfaces and identical triggers. Razer did add some cool extra features, however. The most striking? Pulse analog triggers that vibrate and are pressure sensitive, highlights XDA Developers. It remains to be seen which games will really take advantage of this.
Battery and charging cradle supplied with the controller
In parallel, Razer is providing a battery and a charging cradle with its Xbox Boba Fett controller. This is excellent news as Microsoft’s official controllers are still limited to disposable (or rechargeable) batteries. Note that the charging base is known, it is already sold separately in the Razer catalog for around sixty euros.
Not content with recharging the controller when not in use, this base also has the advantage of showing off its design: the main advantage of this new accessory. A new accessory which is on the other hand sold at a high price: 179.99 dollars. A price justified by the presence of a base, a battery, but above all by the fact that this controller is a limited edition … difficult to find.
In France, the Razer catalog displays at this time a 404 error when you want to make the purchase, while the controller cannot be found on Amazon France. On Amazon US, the item is currently “Temporary Out of Stock”. In other words, it will probably take some trickery to get a chance to get your hands on a unit.
