When it comes to buying a new Realme smartphone, its extensive portfolio can make it difficult to choose. In the mid-rangemoves like no one else with the latest representatives belonging to the Realme 12 family: the Realme 12, Realme 12+ and Realme 12X laid the foundations while the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ raised the specifications.

It has only taken half a year since they were introduced, in fact, the ‘Pro’ versions did not arrive in our country until last March. Both phones are very consistent in almost all sections. The Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ give way to this pairing that, while maintaining the lines of the previous generation, eliminates some design elements such as vegan leather. Now, they have a frosted glass back. However, the camera module remains in the same position with a circular design.

At the heart of the Realme 13 Pro we find an old acquaintance: Qualcomm, which puts its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2a high-performance chip with eight cores, four of which are dedicated to power and four to efficiency. It comes with good amounts of memory, with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.

We now move on to the photographic section, which as happened in the last generation, stands out for the inclusion of a telephoto lens which remains exclusive to the Realme 13 Pro+. In any case, the main camera of both phones is promising: 50 megapixels with sensors signed by Sony from the LYT series. The 8 megapixel ultra wide angle is also present in both.

In relation to autonomy, it will be driven by a 5,200 mAh batterywith a small growth compared to the Realme 12 Pro. And of course, they have 45-watt fast charging to give you a boost during the day.

There are no surprises in the software: Android 14 is hidden under the manufacturer’s layer, Realme UI 5.0. Or at least not as a base, because Realme has invested in AI to give this family features such as the Ultra Clear Camera, intended to improve the sharpness of photos. In the same sense, HYPERIMAGE + is the brand’s processing algorithm that also emphasizes video recording.

It doesn’t stop there, as it features editing tools similar to Google’s Magic Eraser to remove subjects or objects from images. AI Group Photo focuses on the quality of facial features. More features will be coming in upcoming updates.

Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ price and availability

Realme has officially announced the launch of the Realme 13 Pro and Realme 13 Pro+ in India. It has confirmed global availability, although the date of availability is currently unknown. They are coming to market in three colors, dubbed as Monet Purple, Monet Gold and Emerald Green. The influence of the French painter is the basis of the design of these two new models, which will be sold at different prices depending on memory configuration:
