Fast charging technology allows us to charge our mobile to 100% in a matter of minutes, which is especially useful if we have forgotten to charge our smartphone and have to leave home as soon as possible. Although today it is easy to find mobile phones with fast charging between 30W and 120W, There are manufacturers that go one step further.
This is the case of Realme, a company that has already reached 240W in mobile phones such as the Realme GT 3 or the GT Neo 5. Of course, the manufacturer is not satisfied with that figure: just a few days ago we announced that it had managed to develop a 320W fast charging system that the company refers to as “supersonic charging”.
The new system promises a full charge in less than five minutes
Realme posted a video on Weibo earlier this week teasing the arrival of the 320W fast charging system, although it did not share any further details. The company took the opportunity to highlight its progress in this area, stressing that over the past few years has launched devices with 65W, 150W and 240W fast chargingIn the Weibo post, Realme stated that it would provide more details on August 14.
Although 91mobiles echoed a leaked video in which we could see a Realme mobile phone passing by from 0% to 17% in just 35 seconds Thanks to the 320W fast charging system we talked about, we still didn’t know how long it would take to charge the battery to 100%.
Finally, the company has officially presented the new 320W fast charging system and has confirmed that it allows you to go from 0 to 100% in just four minutes and 30 secondsIn the video published by Realme we see that in just one minute the mobile reaches 26% charge.
Although the company has not confirmed the battery capacity of the mobile phone used for the announcement of this technology, The figures are more than surprising and they far exceed the charging time of phones like the Realme GT 3 and GT Neo 5, which can be charged to 100% in just under 10 minutes thanks to their 240W.
Realme explains that the more individual battery cells that can be charged simultaneously, the faster the charging speed achieved. With this in mind, The company has developed a foldable battery system made up of four different cells. The manufacturer claims to have been inspired by the foldable solar panels found on satellites.
It is important to note that for now there is no further information about Realme’s plans with this technology, so we will have to wait to see if the manufacturer decides to launch a mobile phone with 320W fast charging.
