The Google page for the World Cup in Qatar includes a multitude of information about each team and match (including the probability of victory for each team), but it also makes it easy for you to follow your team to find out about the matches and results, either through notifications or with a floating markeralways accessible, even while using other apps.
Follow your selection
If you tell Google which team you are following in the World Cup, it will take care of keeping you informed every time there is a game, as well as the results once the same has finished. It is an option that Google will remember for the following matches of your team in upcoming World Cups and European Championships.
The way to do it is quite simple. First you will need to open Google’s special web page for the world cup, something you can do with a search like World Cup 2022. then tap on the bell icon and, in the list of teams that appears, make sure that you have marked the campaign in Spain or the team you want to keep informed about.
Minute and result, always visible
A much more immediate way of keeping you informed of what happens in a match in real timein a minimalist and always visible way, is with the marker in the form of a floating window, which you access from the same special Google page for the World Cup.
All you have to do is press Set live result, in the box of the match in which you are interested. This button appears for games that are relatively close to remaining, so you may not see it yet for Spain – Costa Rica.
After pressing that button, it is shown superimposed on your mobile a floating window that will be displayed on top of other apps. Before the match starts, the start time is shown, but during the match you will see the result in real time, and by tapping on the window you will be able to see a list with the main events of the match and a link (Statistics, news and more) to go to the complete information, in Google.
What if you regret setting the live score of a floating match? Easy, you only have drag it to the (X) that appears at the bottom of the screen and will be pushed out of the way, just like notification bubbles.
