Design: The screen of the Moto edge 30 Ultra has a size of 6.67 “with super thin bezels. Furthermore, the side edges of the screen have a 53º curvature, which means that the display is slightly rounded at the sides. This element undoubtedly denotes that it is a Premium range equipment.

The back of the device is made of glass with a coating that gives it a metallic-like feel with a matte finish when it is not reflecting light. This type of finish adds a sensation of solidity and resistance to the equipment that also prevents marks from sweat and grease from the hands.

Although it could be said that the Moto edge 30 Ultra has a design that is on trend, it seems to us that it brings little personality and own style to the brand’s flagship team.

The design of the edge 30 Ultra seems a bit repetitive to us compared to the rest of the smartphones released this year, either by Motorola or by other manufacturers. With everything and this, there is no doubt that Motorola included premium finishes and materials from its portfolio for this smartphone. It feels very good in the hand and on both sides it denotes a resistant and luxurious equipment.

It is worth adding that this time the design and manufacturing materials are so noticeable that we are facing Motorola’s top-of-the-range smartphone. In previous years when reviewing Motorola’s most luxurious equipment, although the design was not bad at all, it needed more high-quality materials so that it could be said in style that it was its most expensive equipment in the manufacturer’s portfolio.

Multimedia

The display has OLED & HDR + technology and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and offers 395 pixels per inch (PPI). While this is not the highest quality at the moment, it ranks among the best. As a result we have a display of videos with a quality superior to HD, and a very high sharpness that shows very clear text and images. In addition, the colors on the screen are vibrant and lean more towards warm tones.

The colors on the screen are very vivid, not to mention that the 1080 quality will be displayed optimally.

The refresh rate is 144Hz and it has 360Hz touch speed. This blew our minds a bit, since the result is a screen with an impressive response speed, as well as a fluidity of displayed graphics that avoids a “sweeping” effect. And as if this were not enough, it has a maximum brightness of 1250 nits that provide a very high brightness that allows you to see any detail under the sun’s ray.

The sound is made up of two speakers, the main one at the bottom displays a high volume as expected. Meanwhile, the secondary horn, despite being smaller, emits a volume almost as powerful. The sound unfolds correctly in stereo mode and provides a slightly higher volume power than the average for premium range equipment. In addition, the quality is very good since it is powered by Dolby Atmos technology that specializes precisely in surround sound.

In multimedia, the edge 30 Ultra lacks a step to be among the truly top in this section, but even so it defends itself quite well. The quality of this display will be more than enough for the vast majority of users, most likely they will not notice the difference between this screen and others that have three or four more pixels per inch.
