SkyShowtime has been the latest platform to arrive to offer streaming content and serve as an alternative to other already consolidated platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+ Disney+ or HBO Max. An arrival that It has coincided with a time when account sharing conditions are in the newsand not only by Netflix, since we have seen how other companies have a similar policy.
Even SkyShowtime itself prevents from its conditions, the fact that it can be shared with people who do not live under the same roof, something that we already saw a few days ago and that appears in the fine print. The truth is that making the platform younger, little by little it is revealing some news that revolves around its proposal, and if we have already seen methods to get the most out of it, now it remains to know a trick that allows access to a hidden menu with information related to our account.
In this case, it is about accessing a secret menu that as an “Easter egg” or “Easter egg”, allows access to information related to our user account in SkyShowtime. A menu that is only available through the SkyShowtime mobile app and is activated in a similar way to the way developer options are accessed on Android. You have to repeatedly click on the section that we are now going to indicate.
The secret menu does not offer new functions, but rather It is used to indicate information related to our account. From the version of the application, to the email with which we are registered or even the quality in which we can see content on our phone.
To access the secret menu on mobile on SkyShowtime I have used an iPhone, but the process is the same if it is carried out from an Android phone.
- Just enter the application and in the upper right part of the screen, click on your profile icon.
- Once you are on the profile selection screen, look at the top right and click on the gear-shaped icon to enter the “Account”.
- Then you must click on the section “Settings”.
- You must go down to the end, where you will see the version number of the application and there you will have to press ten times in a row.

You will then see how a screen opens in which all the information related to your account appears on the platform. From profile ID, the type of account you have, device identification, if you are part of a testing program…

All the information hidden in the menu It allows you to know what type of account the application is using and what services you are accessing. Since several segmentations appear (by platform, by experiment, by resolution…), this implies that SkyShowtime plans to offer many more services in the future than it currently includes.
In Xataka SmartHome | The fine print returns to the scene with SkyShowtime. It is bad news and confirms what we intuited: we almost never read it
