Mid-range smartphones.
Now, the mid-range of smartphone manufacturers is going through a phase of chiaroscuro, since although Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo completed the top five; however, these three posted 20 percent lower sales compared to last year.
In turn, firms such as Motorola and Tecno had a good second quarter as they reported increases of 19.8 and 22.5 percent respectively, but the big winner of the period was Tecno.
Due to its strong focus on the domestic market, Honor achieved a whopping 125.4 percent year-on-year increase in sales, securing the sixth position with more than 15.1 million smartphones shipped.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei is going through its personal viacrucis with marketing problems in the United States, as well as the lack of components and complications with the supply chain, so that in the second quarter of the year, it was able to send 6.4 million, which corresponds to a drop of 34.7 percent compared to what was done a year ago.
