The new HelloSafe study, based on data from Cable.co.uk, gives us a global view of how much is 1 GB in up to 233 countries. In this way, we can find out the average price that Spaniards pay to browse the Internet from their mobile phones compared to other regions. Especially, because you can also make a comparison of how much the countries that are part of the EU pay.
Spain, for example, is part of the 10 nations in which it is cheaper to surf the Internet with a mobile. Although, it is not the one with the lowest price per gig. This is how the table looks prices per GB:
- Italy: 0.12 euros.
- France: 0.23 euros.
- Poland: 0.41 euros.
- Denmark: 0.43 euros.
- Romania: 0.45 euros.
- Spain: 0.6 euros.
- Bulgaria: €0.9.
- Austria: €0.94.
- Lithuania: 1.17 euros.
- Estonia: 1.2 euros.
Therefore, taking into account the cost per mobile gigabyte in our country, the price of GB in Spain is 5 times more expensive than in Italy, which is in first position. Although, it is not only necessary to take into account the cost of mobile data within the European Union. To have a more global idea, this study has analyzed the price of up to 233 countries.
Worldwide, our country is in the position number 36 regarding the price that users pay for having mobile Internet. Not bad considering that how much they pay in up to 233 different countries have been added to this list. However, within the European countries, it occupies the 14th position, and as we have already seen, within the countries that make up the European Union it is in sixth place.
What is the most expensive country?
Luckily for users in Spain, we are very far from what they get to pay in other countries that are also part of the European Union.
