No, the iPhone 15 is not just around the corner. However, its leaks are becoming more and more frequent and it seems that this will continue to be the case as September approaches, the month in which, except for surprise, they will come to light. The last known have been some 3D models Printed based on design leaks to date.
It comes from the Japanese website Mac Otakara, some old acquaintances in these details and that even shows a video of what these devices look like. The raison d’être of these models, apart from already being able to imagine the “flesh and blood” iPhone 15, has been none other than to check case compatibility with those of previous generations. And there are surprises.

If we look at the rumors, the iPhone 15 will not be very different from previous generations in terms of design, but yes they will once again have a new design on the edges. New at least as far as the iPhone 12 and later are concerned, from which we have already been seeing completely flat edges in which only the corners allow curvature.
What has been leaked so far points to a slightly more curved designalthough not as much as what we saw from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone 11. In fact, it compares to the design of the iPhone 5c in terms of having a straight frame, but it curves slightly as it meets the back piece and screen.
In Mac Otakara they do not reveal the sources in which they have obtained the exact dimensions of the four new devices, but if they were precise they would show that there would be no compatibility of covers, except in the ‘Plus’ model. As proven in photos and video, the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max cases would not fit the iPhone 15, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max respectively. The iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 15 Plus
On the other hand, regardless of whether these Mac Otakara tests end up adjusting to the reality of the future iPhone 15, we must take into account another important factor in case compatibility: the buttons. And not only because they could be slightly modified in their layout, but also because of their nature.

The leaks suggest that Apple stop using physical buttons and that the iPhone 15 will bring haptic buttons. In fact, this could imply that two buttons are combined into one. In the absence of seeing how this is applied at the design level, there are doubts about whether or not the covers should have some kind of special opening for the button to work and emit vibration.
This being the case, there is no other option than to wait and continue to be exposed to new leaks that are revealing more and more details of what these iPhone 15 will be like. What seems clear at this point is that, no matter how much they visually resemble previous generations, there will always be some point that makes them really different.
