The world’s leading blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider Binancecontinues to expand its reach and push its European plans forward. Binance, by getting the ‘European Digital Asset Services Provider’ (DASP) approval in France, broke new ground. The license, which was issued by the French financial market regulator AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers), was also approved by the independent authority ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution), which oversees the banking system.
France becomes the first major European country to greenlight Binance
With regulatory approval DASP registration, Binance, which is legally allowed to operate in France, has the ability to hold, enable buying, selling and exchanging digital assets in the country and running a trading platform for them. Binance is currently listed as a registered digital asset service provider by the French stock market watcher AMF.
Supporting the compliance and regulatory efforts of countries for the healthy growth of the crypto and blockchain industry around the world, Binance actively supports the fight against fraud and ransomware, as well as enlarging its international compliance and advisory board. While it is stated that Binance’s European DASP registration in France, which meets the anti-money laundering and customer risk screening AML/KYC standards, is the result of these efforts, Binance CEO and founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) made the following statement;
“Effective regulation is essential for the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies. The French DVHS and AML/CFT regulations set the high standards required to be regulated in France, as well as to combat money laundering. We are grateful to the innovative AMF and ACPR who guided Binance through the entire application process. Binance has always made the user first priority since day one. Today, however, the crypto community can count on us even more with Binance France, which has become an officially recognized DVHS in France.”
