After its gradual launch in a few countries since the beginning of the year, The Elder Scrolls: Castles finally gets a worldwide release date. If you haven’t been following, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is the brand new game from Bethesda, the team behind Fallout Shelter on mobile, and it puts you in the shoes of a king or queen tasked with managing your kingdom. Your goal is to build your castle to your desires, rule over your subjects, and decide the future of your kingdom.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is part of the rich universe of the famous franchise The Elder Scrollsknown for its immersive RPGs like the opus Skyrim And Oblivion. However, unlike the main games in the series, The Elder Scrolls: Castles adopts a more accessible format for touch screens, similar to that of Fallout Shelterwhich found huge success by allowing players to manage a post-apocalyptic shelter.
In this new title, Bethesda transposes this management formula into a medieval fantasy setting, where every decision you make as a ruler directly influences the evolution of your kingdom and the well-being of your subjects, much like in Reigns, but with more polished gameplay. Players can expect a fairly broad gaming experience, with a combination of construction, strategy and management, all imbued with the distinctive aesthetic and atmosphere of The Elder Scrolls. We would have obviously liked an adventure RPG, but it’s a safe bet that Castles is very interesting.
