Astrophotography is coming to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. The Galaxy S20 and other Galaxy Z Fold should follow.
Do you know the astrophotography mode of Samsung smartphones? This allows you to display a map of the constellations directly on the camera interface, but also to access very useful settings such as a longer pause time.
Samsung’s astrophotography mode is a bit hidden, since it requires downloading an app from the Galaxy Store called Expert RAW. Problem, so far, this novelty was reserved for the latest models of the Korean firm, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22.
Arrival on the S21 and Fold 4
As reported Sam-Mobile, since the release of One UI 5.1, the latest version of the Galaxy interface, the release of astrophotography mode on other models was expected. This is now the case. The entire Samsung Galaxy S21 series as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 can now benefit from it. Only obligation: to have installed the April update on his phone.
Before jumping on your phone tonight, keep in mind that despite the magic of night modes on the phone, Samsung is not able to perform miracles either. If the sky isn’t clear above you, or if there’s too much light pollution, don’t expect too much from it.
In principle, other phones should follow. Among them are the Galaxy S20 and other Galaxy Z Fold. At least that’s what Samsung announced a few months ago.
