The One UI 5.1 overlay equips the new Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra. As expected, Samsung will deploy it on its other recent smartphones. A first list gives us the terminals concerned.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 are now available and bring their share of new features. Among them, the presence of One UI 5.1, the Samsung overlay dedicated to Android 13. It will land very soon on the other recent terminals of the Korean brand.

Indeed, according to a Canadian operator (Fido), the update One UI 5.1 should arrive on several Samsung smartphones during the month of February. For the moment, only the recent top of the range are concerned, but we can hope to see it extend to other models in the coming months. Here are the Samsung smartphones that should receive One UI 5.1 in the coming days:

  • Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy S22+
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4

One UI 5.1, an overlay that remains in line with the previous one

The high-end terminals of 2022 will therefore be equipped with this new overlay. For now, no information on older models, like the Galaxy S21 or even the Galaxy S20, but we hope to know more soon. Likewise, we think of the Galaxy A, Samsung’s best-selling phones.

One UI 5.1 remains roughly in line with the previous version. Samsung has indeed not changed its formula, but took care to incorporate some nice little things. Among them, the possibility of in-depth modification of the always-on-display mode, the addition of new Widgets as well as an emphasis on security. The biggest innovation is the addition of a RAW mode for photos, which makes photographers happy, especially since the S23 relies heavily on this aspect.

As a reminder, the Galaxy S23 range was announced at the beginning of February. We have already been able to test the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the top-of-the-range model that is almost flawless. The tests of the other models are coming very soon.
