We already knew the launch window for the new OnePlus Nord CE 2. But so far, nothing had been confirmed by the brand. It has finally announced the date of presentation of its new mid-range smartphone in a video posted on Twitter.
It is therefore official: the successor to the OnePlus Nord CE will be released on February 17, initially only in India.
Everything we know about the OnePlus Nord CE 2
This new smartphone reinforces the Chinese manufacturer’s CE range, offered since June 2021. The letters CE stand for “Core Edition” and designate devices that offer the heart of the OnePlus experience, but with all the same concessions to take advantage of a more affordable price. They are placed at the entry level of the mid-range.
The new OnePlus Nord CE 2 was revealed during a leak last December, which told us more about its characteristics. It is then the leaker Max Jambor who revealed the smartphone launch window to us in February – and he was right.
What to expect from this famous midship killer self-proclaimed? Also according to rumors, it would benefit from a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen and 90 Hz, a triple photo sensor (64 + 8 + 2 MP at the back), a 16 MP front camera . The main difference with the first One Plus Nord CE of the name would lie in the choice of processor, a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G, against a Snapdragon 750G chip previously. This SoC will be supported by 6 or 8 GB of RAM depending on the version chosen.

The device would also have stereo speakers and a 4500 mAh battery. The long-awaited 65 W fast charge is well and truly confirmed in a video published by the brand, as well as the presence of a 3.5 mm jack. This same video tells us that it will be possible to take advantage of more storage space via a micro-SD card.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 will run on its release under OxygenOS 12 (based on Android 12), even if, in the long term, this OS should merge with ColorOS, to become the all-new H2OOS.
