The Mobile Gaming Market Dropped About 10 Percent In The First Half Of 2022!

Technology News Desk !!! The first half of 2022 saw a decline in most mobile game sending and downloads, with the overall mobile gaming market declining 9.6 percent year-on-year. This information has been given in a new report. The mobile gaming market fell to $11.4 billion in the first half of 2022, according to a new Sensor Tower Game Intelligence data. Arcade and tabletop games were the only categories to see revenue growth. Arcade game revenue grew 14.8 percent year-on-year to about $176 million, according to an AppleInsider report. Other genres (from hypercasual to RPG) have declined. Racing games saw the biggest drop in revenue, down 28.8 percent year-on-year, and geolocation augmented reality games declined 26 percent over the same period. In addition to declining revenue, mobile game downloads also fell 2.5 percent year-on-year to 2.4 billion. Revenue for the second quarter of 2022 declined 11.4 percent to $5.6 billion, although downloads remained relatively flat at 1.2 billion. –IANS
