Xiaomi wants to continue pushing into the territory of smart watches, and after the recent launch of the popular Redmi Watch 3, it has just introduced us in China to a little brother who has very good arguments. to be a bestseller: the Redmi Watch 3 Lite.
This watch can already be purchased in the Asian market for a price of 399 yuan, about 52 euros to change, so it drops about 15 euros compared to the price at which its older brother was presented. Of course, for now it is unknown if it will be sold in a Global version or not, so we will have to wait to see what Xiaomi finally decides.

A very quarrelsome little brother
As you can see in the official images of this product, despite being a Lite version, we could well say that we are in front of the same Redmi Watch 3 that we saw a few weeks ago presented in Spain. In fact, the only thing that changes is the location of your microphonewhich happens to be on one side, as well as a larger size of the front.
The rest remains exactly the same, with a side edge with a metallic finish, a plastic back next to the sensors, charging pins and speaker, and even a silicone strap that continues to have the very good finish we saw on the Redmi Watch 3. .
Where we do begin to see important differences is when viewing the screen, a panel that grows up to 1.83 inches but of which we still do not have confirmation of whether it is an AMOLED or IPS panel. What we do know is that it has a maximum brightness of up to 450 nits, so despite being a larger panel, we cannot say that it is a better screen than its older brother.
For the rest, some interesting features continue to be maintained, such as the possibility of answering calls via Bluetooth, a battery with up to 12 days of typical use without going through the chargermore than 100 sports activities to be able to record and, unfortunately, we left behind the high-precision GPS chip that we did have in the Redmi Watch 3.
Despite this, we will be able to continue using the GPS of our phone thanks to the My Fitness app when we have it synchronized with the clock, an application that will also allow us to download more than 200 custom watchfaces for this watch and even connect our Strava account so that all the sports we do are automatically synchronized.
Price and availability of the new Redmi Watch 3 Lite
As we have told you at the beginning of this post, the new Redmi Watch 3 Lite is now available in China for an official price of 399 yuan, about 52 euros to change. At the moment Xiaomi has not ruled on a possible launch outside the borders of the Asian country, but we will remain attentive in case any information about it emerges later.
