WhatsApp is making changes to its application, especially in everything related to privacy. After adding new features like the skip blue tick and last connectionnow it’s the turn of the screenshots.
In early August, Mark Zuckerberg’s company announced that it was working on several features to improve privacy, such as hiding the ‘online’ status or quietly leave a group.
This is how screenshots are blocked
In the new WhatsApp beta, if you have registered your Xiaomi mobile as a ‘beta tester’ to test it, the screen capture block already appears. As they have been able to see in WABetaInfo, the capture is carried out, but the result is a black screen with a message: ‘you cannot take a screenshot due to privacy policies’.
Keep in mind that, at the moment, this function will only be available for images and videos that we send set to view only onceand it does not apply to a capture of the conversation itself, which I follow without having restrictions.
As we have said, this function is already available if you are a beta user and have registered your Xiaomi mobile. If not, don’t worry, because once they have reached this stage, in a matter of a few weeks all users will be able to use of this new feature that improves privacy in WhatsApp.
WhatsApp’s race to remain one of the best messaging applications still very tightand the company continues to add features to deal with Telegram, which a few months ago incorporated a payment plan with exclusive features.
