Xiaomi today presented the Mijia Cross-Door 603L Ice Crystal Rock, an appliance that has the particularity of having cryolite glass panels and capable of freezing almost 30 kilos of meat in just 24 hours. But, as always happens with Xiaomi, with a very tight price.
With such a diverse ecosystem of products and devices that covers virtually every aspect of daily life, Xiaomi also makes smart home appliances. And his latest creation is this powerful smart fridge or refrigerator with a lot of capacity.
Cryolite crystal coated polished thousands of times
Featuring a double door design for both the fridge and freezer parts, the front of the Xiaomi Mijia Cross-Door 603L Refrigerator is adorned with a highly scratch resistant cryolite glass panel, nanotoxic paint (a type of nano-paint capable of repelling and/or neutralizing acids, toxic chemicals and other corrosive agents), and resistance to organic fingerprints to avoid always appearing smudged.
With a heat sink to move any internal heat that might be produced, the smart appliance has a total capacity of 603 liters, with a divided internal distribution that includes a 396-liter refrigeration zone, a 106-liter variable temperature zone, and a 101-liter frozen zone. It even has a food storage area in which the temperature can be variable.
With an adjustable modular internal configuration, the interior features a 360° refrigerated air circulation system with a cooling force of 7 kg/12 h, “capable of freezing 28 kg of beef in 24 hours” according to the product notes. And in terms of sustainability and energy consumption, the Mijia Cross-Door 603L Ice Crystal Rock fridge requires approximately 0.99 kilowatt-hours of electricity per day, with an operating noise level of 36 decibels.
See your fridge through mobile
The interior is equipped with panoramic lighting and recessed light sources. The front of the refrigerator has one of those LCD touch screens that allow you to operate the device just as if you were using your mobile. In fact, the refrigerator supports connectivity with the Mijia App, which allows you to control and monitor the refrigerator remotely from your smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mijia Cross-Door 603L Ice Crystal Rock Refrigerator is now available for pre-sale in China, with an initial price of 5,499 yuan, about 725 euros to change, as always a very tight price. At the moment it seems exclusive to China, but we wouldn’t take advantage of it in the West by connecting it with our Xiaomi, Poco or Redmi phones, right?
