AirPods would be the next accessories to be beneficial for hearing health according to information published by Mark Gurman.
The purpose of Apple, for some years, is create devices that help the user lead a healthy life and that you can monitor it through them. One of those products that were created to listen to music in a different way could go a step beyond just listening to content. AirPods could include hearing health features for years to come according to Mark Gurman.
A health tool in the coming years remains to be seen in the AirPods
According information published in your Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman claimed that Apple will be adding a capability inside AirPods to obtain hearing data of the users.
Currently there are functions such as «listen live» to be able to direct attention towards a person who is speaking but cannot be heard due to external noise. There’s also “Conversation Boost” which is a boost for people with hearing problems who can use AirPods Pro to hear better.
AirPods Pro 2 have a unique design on the market
These functions have not yet been approved by the FDA. and they are also not certified to be considered as a hearing aid replacement. Apple’s challenge would be that its AirPods can fully assume this type of functions and orient them to their own health toolmake it official with the necessary permits and certifications.
Ming-Chi Kuo is also sure of the health monitoring capabilities in the AirPods
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is very focused on adding biometric capabilities to AirPods. It entirely coincides with patent applications for a headphone-based fitness monitoring system.
What will AirPods be able to monitor in the future? From the temperature, heart rate, perspiration levels and other factors through skin contact and motion sensors. All that large amount of data that AirPods could collect would make them a more attractive device that would no longer only serve to listen to content.
The sound quality of AirPods Pro is indisputable
The data would be registered in the Health app and will probably be linked to the Apple Watch. The sensors that the latest generations of the Apple smartwatch already enjoy mixed with future AirPods dedicated to health would be a fantastic duo that the competition could be waiting to emulate.
Given the obvious technology that AirPods could incorporate, they could become increasingly expensive. We are sure that there will be different versions of future generations: the traditional AirPods that can only work for what a user wants, listening to content. And other more advanced health-oriented AirPods that can be used for users with hearing complications or who just want to have measurements about their current state of health whether or not they suffer from any disease.
