Instagram does not change its recipe for success
Instagram copies TikTok again
As some users have noticed Instagram is testing a new interface that takes full-screen photos and videos. The new video interface looks like what TikTok has been doing for years.
The new interface looks unmistakably similar to TikTok. But beyond the comparisons, it could be a positive change, which allows you to share photos are larger and potentially more detailed as a result. Should Instagram make the change, users will have to change the way they take photos to make better use of the new look.
The move announced by Mosseri is being tested with several users, although it’s unclear how many will see the new interface as part of this phase. Based on Instagram’s timing with other updates, hopefully the same change will be available to all users eventually.
In a related post, Mosseri has also confirmed that the new, more vertical look will also roll out across other parts of the Instagram interface, including the profile view, the composer stream, and the “rest of Instagram.”
