We have already talked about them, explaining what they are and what they consist of and now it is the OCU or what is the same, the Organization of Consumers and Users, which has announced its VII collective purchase of energy. It is about achieving a competitive gas and electricity rate to which any interested user can add.
When more serves to make it less
This type of movement is similar to what can be done with other products. It is about making a purchase on a large scale by a large number of users in order to lower costs by having a position of strength against the seller. In the case of energy, it is about achieving the best price in the kilowatt hour, either electricity or gas.
In the case of the OCU, the organization has enabled a campaign that will be active from yesterday, March 15, until April 27. A campaign that all those consumers who wish to reduce their electricity bill can join.
According to the director of Communication and Relations of the organizationIleana Izverniceanu, this type of action constitutes “one of the consumer’s tools to reduce the impact of the electric price in his pocket”.
On this web page, all those interested in a registration process that the organization announces will be free without obligation. In addition, in case of being satisfied with the final result, the organization affirms that it will also advise the interested parties.
Once the deadline of April 27 has arrived, the auction process begins in which the interested parties, in this case through the OCU, will invite the country’s energy companies to participate in. An auction for energy companies to participate offering their products and hence the more users are registered, the greater position of strength the purchase will have.
The process should conclude by the end of May, when The OCU will communicate to those who registered the rate that has been the winneras well as the savings you will get compared to the usual prices and how you can start hiring.
As of the date of writing this article, 11,115 people have registered and the organization shows figures from previous collective purchases. With 22,776, 31,574 and 72,413 registered in other purchases, savings were achieved, according to the OCU, 131, 194 and 448 euros respectively, which shows the importance of the number of people who are part of these initiatives.
