The Oppo Reno 7 takes up the strengths of its predecessor while lowering the price. With a balanced technical sheet, this smartphone has everything to please, especially since it is only worth 279 euros instead of 329 euros when it was released.
Available for a few months, the Oppo Reno 7 is a mid-range smartphone which, unlike the Reno 6, is intended to be below 350 euros. A drop in price which is accompanied by some concessions, of course, but the technical sheet it offers is very convincing: fast charging, good performance and above all a more convincing price thanks to this offer which makes it lose 50 euros on its introductory price.
What does the Oppo Reno 7 offer?
- A beautiful AMOLED FHD + panel at 90 Hz;
- A powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC;
- Good autonomy coupled with fast charging;
- A little extra: runs on Android 12.
Available on release at 329 euros, the Oppo Reno 7 (8 + 128 GB) is currently on sale at 299 euros, but using the code 20 EUROS, the phone goes to only 279 euros. And if you are a Cdiscount member, using the code CDAV30EUROSit drops to 269 euros.

A neat and successful design
If the previous generation was inspired by Apple by sporting flat slices, the Oppo Reno 7 in turn takes up this same well-known design on the iPhone. The brand makes a great effort on the design with polished finishes. It offers a good grip (7.5 mm thick) and remains compact enough to slip into your pocket. Once turned on, we appreciate finding a beautiful 6.4-inch AMOLED panel in FHD + definition, taking advantage of a refresh rate of 90 Hz for smoother navigation.
The photo part has not been neglected either. The Reno 7 is equipped with a main sensor of 64 megapixels, a depth sensor of 2 megapixels and a microscope sensor of 2 megapixels, with digital magnification of 15x and 30x. The latter was also present on the Find X3 Pro, but which was 3 megapixels and a magnification of up to 30x against 60x. A fairly gimmicky mode, but one that can be fun.
Oppo also puts the package on the software part with the AI, which would make it possible to have natural renderings and which with its Portrait Pro mode promises to take portraits close to the quality of a digital SLR.
Satisfactory performance for the majority of users
To operate efficiently, the Reno 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor coupled with 8 GB of RAM, the same available on Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11. This configuration is powerful enough to run the majority of applications, as well as some 3D games, with however some latency that will be felt when you push the graphics conditions to the maximum. However, the user experience will be fluid and pleasant on a daily basis since it comes with Android 12 and ColorOS 12. The only problem is 5G compatibility, which is missing here.
Finally, on the autonomy side, the Oppo Reno 7 has a slightly beefier battery than its predecessor (4,500 mAh against 4,300 mAh), to be able to last a day without worries. On the other hand, for this generation Oppo is ignoring its 65 W SuperVOOC charge, available on the Reno 6. Here we are entitled to a 33 W fast charge, which still ensures a 50% charge in 30 minutes .
