It was in 2021 that the TV Q1E 55 came to expand Xiaomi’s range of televisions. With many compatibilities, and even HDMI 2.1 ports, this model sees its price go from 799 euros to only 499 euros at Boulanger.
Xiaomi launched a few years ago in the television market, after having largely invested in the market for smartphones, scooters and various connected objects. In 2021, his Q1E 55 was unveiled. For less than 800 euros, this model offered a host of compatibilities with the best video standards, as well as HDMI 2.1 ports (but without 4K@120fps) and good sound quality. Today, the TV still offers all this, but for less than 500 euros thanks to this great promotion.

A borderless QLED panel of a comfortable size
Its name indicates it very well: the Xiaomi Q1E 55 TV is a 55-inch television. This is an ideal diagonal for viewing content comfortably, while not taking up too much space in your room. Above all, this model scores points thanks to its neat and sober design. The brand has bet on a thin metal frame that is very quickly forgotten around the screen, which allows images to be given full space and reinforces immersion. Rather practical when you know that this television, which also offers 4K UHD definition (3,840 x 2,160), is compatible with the best video standards, such as Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HDR10 +.
On the other hand, despite the fact that this TV benefits from QLED technology, we noticed during our test that the color rendering was not always faithful, and that the brightness was not high enough. However, the different modes available (Standard, Vivid, Film, Games or even Sport) should make it possible to obtain image processing adapted to each content. On the audio system side, the Xiaomi Q1E 55 TV has 6 speakers of 15 W each and supports Dolby Audio and DTS formats, which is the assurance of obtaining a rather immersive rendering.
Android TV, still as pleasant
For its Q1E 55, the Chinese brand has opted for the excellent Android TV OS, which has been revamped to get closer to what the new Chromecast offers with Google TV. The user experience will be much more personalized, with relevant content suggestions based on your profile. Naturally, you’ll also have access to thousands of apps through the Play Store, with all the Google features that come with it, like Google Assistant for your voice requests and Chromecast to stream content from a smartphone or tablet.
No 4K@120FPS, unfortunately…
Regarding the gaming aspect, the Xiaomi Q1E 55 TV does have three HDMI 2.1 ports, which, in theory, is very good news for owners of next-gen consoles. However, the panel is not refreshed at 100 Hz, so it will not support 4K@120fps. The VRR is also absentee subscribers. However, we can console ourselves with the presence of the ALLM function (Auto Low Latency Mode) which significantly reduces latency by automatically switching to a mode intended for this purpose. Above all, the TV promises an input lag of only 10.4 ms which is simply excellent: thus, there will be less than one frame of delay between the moment when the player presses a button on the controller and when the action takes place on the TV screen. Note however that by default, the HDMI inputs are limited to the 1.4 standard. You will therefore have to go to the HDMI menus to change this and select 2.0 or 2.1, according to your needs.
