Germany’s Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) has revealed the prices for the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, with and without taxes. As expected, the prices are around 60,000 euros.
On March 9, 2022, Volkswagen lifted the veil on its ID.Buzz electric van (which we priced immediately after), the famous electric version of the Combi of yesteryear – also known as the Volkswagen Type 2. At the time, two versions were presented by the German brand: one for professionals, the other for the general public. Without knowing the prices.
This last missing element, however, begins to point the tip of his nose. The Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (Bundesamt für Wirtschaft und Ausfuhrkontrolle, or BAFA) has indeed published a list of new vehicles in which the Volkswagen ID.Buzz appears.
Up to 65,000 euros including tax
The opportunity to discover its German prices, which can already give us ideas of future French prices. The family version of the vehicle will therefore cost 54,270 euros excluding tax, or 64,581 euros including tax. At this price, this model relies on a 77 kWh battery, a power of 204 hp and space for 5 people.
The professional version, or so-called Cargo, is more affordable: count 45,740 euros excluding tax, or 54,430 euros including tax. This version has a separation behind the first row of seats to reach a total boot volume of 3900 litres.
A very attractive Model Y
This price range allows us to know what sauce will be eaten by the first customers of this ID.Buzz. The fact is that at this price, a certain Tesla Model Y could also be a choice alternative that should not be underestimated. This SUV offers considerable space for rear passengers as well as a relevant trunk volume.
In the future, the ID.Buzz should also be entitled to a seven-seater version which could make sense for large families in particular. Inevitably, the cost of the vehicle should also increase.
