Tech News Desk – Tech giant Microsoft had talked about laying off 10,000 people in January this year. After all, which department’s employees have been affected by the third round of layoffs in Microsoft, let us give you information about it. Among the employees who have been affected by the third round of layoffs in Microsoft, this third round has affected people associated with Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI, Supply Chain and IoT i.e. Internet of Things.

A report in CRN quoted a Microsoft spokesperson as saying that the layoffs have affected various levels, functions, teams and offices in different regions of the company. According to Washington State Records, recently Microsoft has fired 689 people from its Washington office. For the information of the people, let us tell you that this retrenchment has taken place in the company’s Microsoft Redmond, Issaquah and Bellevue offices.

Recall that in February, Microsoft had informed about 617 jobs going to its office in Washington State. In February itself, the company had announced at its office in California that 108 people would be laid off. At the same time, Microsoft had discharged 878 people from the Washington office in January. It has been told in the report that in total the company had shown the way out to 2 thousand 184 people.

According to a LinkedIn post by an employee working at Microsoft, the company has shut down its AI-powered automation project Bonsai. Along with this, the team associated with this project has also been shown the way out of the company. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said in January this year that the company is making some changes that could lead to 10,000 job losses by the third quarter of 2023.
