Last year, Nintendo through a statement reported that the virtual store for Wii U and 3DS would officially close, the date was fulfilled, this March 27 were the last purchases made online.
According to official information from Nintendo, the closure of the eShop was scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Mexico time, so from that time no purchase can be made on the platform.
But, the good thing is that titles previously purchased from the eShop can continue to be downloaded and enjoyed, as well as updates and online games from the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS consoles.

Unpurchased games that are exclusive to the Wii U and 3DS store will be officially lost until the developers decide to release a new version.

The games of these consoles are not compatible with Nintendo Switch, but it is worth mentioning that some of the titles of the last generation have their respective adapted version or improved edition for Switch, as in the case of ‘Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’.
